Rafael Martínez del Pozo revels in the silence enveloping his live acts, and plays at a distant rhythm to the convulsive hurry that pervades everything. A lull you feel in the countryside around a village in León, near his home, where he recorded his latest album, Las Acciones Duran. He lets the strings play and almost coughs out his lyrics. In Grabaciones del Campo, his studio, Rafa Martínez del Pozo has produced groups such as Kiev Cuando Nieva, Sra. Sr. Sra., Bakelite, Roldán, Dos Gajos, and Lorena Álvarez. The personal, direct sound of his most recent works has led him to be called the Rudy Van Gelder of deconstructive folk.

*This event takes place in Bulegoa z/b on the 27th and the 28th of June. It is a collaboration with “Paracinema”, a program organised by Tabakalera (Donostia-San Sebastián) around the work of artist Esperanza Collado.
