Call for the creation of a study group by Tiento as part of their residency in Bulegoa z/b. Their proposal was selected together with In between the verses winging from hill to hill, all was utterly silent by Nour Bishouty and Adrian Schindler in the 2024 open call for residency. The jury was made up of Carles Àngel Saurí (curator), Gema Intxausti (artist) and the members of Bulegoa z/b.
TIENTO: A COLLECTIVE WORK METHODOLOGY
Tiento proposes to create a study group that, through reading, writing and listening, and employing an experimental perspective, will reflect on how the word, language and the image traverse our being in the world, proposing an ecology of thought.
By the term ecology of thought we are referring to coherent and conscious ways of relating to our environment, seeking synchrony and balance with what surrounds us. We think that an investigation that is centred on language and the word will train us in other, more sustainable ways of being in the world.
Our intention is to collectivise an action that is a priori internal and individual: thinking with words in a complex manner. Through the group we can learn about what we do not know, and feel what is provoked by encountering others.

Those who are interested in taking part and can attend the meetings should fill in the following form and answer the introductory text (maximum 1,000 words).
Tiento emerged in September 2023 on the initiative of Jara Roset, Lorenzo Galgó and Blanca Niemietz. It began as a group for reading, writing and listening made up of 13 people who got together every month from September 2023 to June 2024 in ANTI Liburudenda, where they experimented with different uses and formats of the spoken and written word through readings and exercises. Now, the group is continuing its activity in ANTI Liburudenda and Bulegoa z/b, where it aims to develop a collective work methodology.
