The book EL CONTRATO brings the project developed by Bulegoa z/b over a two-year residency period at Azkuna Zentroa to a close.

EL CONTRATO was created with a view to enquiring into the ways tacit, generalised agreements condition practices and ways of making, being and acting. EL CONTRATO saw three moments of development: first, a reading group between April 2013 and January 2014 that enabled study and reflection through periodic encounters revolving around texts; then, between October 2014 and January 2015, an exhibition of work by a score of artists, structured around the themes dealt with in the reading sessions and accompanied by a programme of film, lectures, performances and a new reading group; the last stage was encapsulated in a book. This publication is designed by Filiep Tacq and partially captures the two previous moments, and includes ten contributions in which different people involved in EL CONTRATO explore the notion alluded to in the title.
