A screening which poses questions around presentations and representations of the Afro-American community in the United States and the construction of discourses relating to race and cultural appropriation.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin J. Everson has a large filmography which focuses on narrating black migration from the south to the north of the US and portraying the Afro-American working class. People working, sitting on the porch of their homes as they tell stories or dance invite us to think about everyday life and the common people. His films are an archive on the inscription of the black working class, whose history has been erased, in American history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aitziber Olaskoaga<\/strong> (Bilbao, 1980) is studying a Masters in Film and Video at CalArts, the California Institute of the Arts, where she works as a projectionist at the university cinema.
