B\u00c9SALA FAUST CHORUS
\n<\/b>In the 15th century one of the most legendary characters in classical German literature was born: Johann Georg Faust. Universally known as Faust, his figure has traversed literature, music and the arts as a symbol of the human desire for unlimited knowledge and pleasure. In Goethe\u2019s adaptation the myth is expanded to acquire the dimension of a chorus: angels, spirits, voices from Heaven and Hell coexist and converse, accompanying the inner journey of the protagonist.<\/p>\n

Taking the exuberant nature of this chorus as our starting point, we propose a theatre workshop that will give body and voice to this multiple chorus. By means of improvisation, using the voice and physical presence, we will work on theatrical practices aimed at live performance. We will take Solokoetxe as our main theatrical space, activating our imaginations to transform the everyday into the terrain of fiction.<\/p>\n

The aim is not to stage Faust, but to create a contemporary chorus based on collective listening and experimentation involving those who are there on that day.<\/p>\n

We invite everyone who wants to explore, imagine and have an enjoyable time. No previous experience is required.<\/p>\n

Betty B\u00e9sala<\/b>, is a collective made up of M\u00e0rius Peidroz and Carlota L\u00e1zaro; it arose from a meeting of friends confronting the need to abandon solitary work in favour of collective work.<\/p>\n

It crystallised in the sound studio of the University of the Basque Country and has been present at different festivals (such as the MEM-Experimental Music Festival) and other cultural spaces.<\/p>\n

Its work is centred on experimentation, focussing on the absurd, and sets out, above all, from theatrical and literary references.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a question of getting together to have a good time and do things that interest us.<\/p>\n
