The project has been developed by Bulegoa z\/b in collaboration with book designer Filiep Tacq and is co-hosted by CAC Vilnius Reading Room. It takes as it\u2019s starting point five books by Marcel Broodthaers, which the artist conceived as autonomous artworks, and aims to explore the book as a living entity. The titles consist of:\u00a0P<em>ense-B\u00eate<\/em>\u00a0(1963-1964),\u00a0<em>Un coup de d\u00e9s jamais n\u00b4abolira le hazard<\/em>\u00a0(1969),\u00a0<em>MTL\u00a0<\/em>(1970-1972),\u00a0<em>Un voyage on mer du nord<\/em>\u00a0(1973) and\u00a0<em>L\u2019Angelus de Daumier\u00a0<\/em>(1975). Each of these touch on aspects of books, such as how they relate to other art forms (sculpture, poetry, exhibitions, film, painting) or the production processes involved in making them (technical, material, institutional, negotiation with others).<\/p>\n<p>2:00 p.m. Introduction to the project by its initiators: art critic Miren Jaio (Bulegoa z\/b) and book designer Filiep Tacq<br \/>\n2:15 p.m. A talk on Belgian artist Marcel Broodthaers (1924\u20131976) by art historian Edgaras Gerasimovi\u010dius\u2028<br \/>\n2:40 p.m. Filliep Tacq discusses the books of Marcel Broodthaers<br \/>\n3:40 p.m. Break\u2028<br \/>\n4:00 p.m. Reading group session hosted by Filiep Tacq, moderated by Miren Jaio<\/p>\n<p>The Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) is the largest venue for contemporary art in the Baltic States. The CAC is a non-collection based institution committed to developing a broad range of international and Lithuanian exhibition projects as well as presenting a wide range of public programmes including lectures, seminars, performances, film and video screenings, and live new music events<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cac.lt\/en\/other\/general\/15\/7919\">www.cac.lt\/en\/other\/general\/15\/7919<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The project\u00a0<em>T<\/em><em>he Book to Come<\/em>\u00a0is developed as part of Corpus, network for performance practice.
