Ricardo Basbaum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the final reading session in EL CONTRATO, Ricardo Basbaum will be presenting his draft for the contract with institutions hosting <em>Would you like to participate in an artistic experience?<\/em>. The project will be presented in Alh\u00f3ndigaBilbao\u2019s Bastida Hall in conversation with Lourdes Fern\u00e1ndez, the director of the centre.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Would you like to participate in an artistic experience?<\/em> was presented in October 2014 and January 2015 at Alh\u00f3ndigaBilbao as part of the EL CONTRATO exhibition. The project is part of NBP \u2013 New Bases for Personality (1994 \u2013 ongoing), a project which gathers research on subjectivity through drawings, diagrams, objects, installations, texts and manifestos, structured around NBP, an object. The project began in the 90s with the end of the Brazilian military dictatorship and the emergence of global reality. NBP works in areas bordering art, communication and theories of contagion. Through a tacit agreement between the artist, the object and those who encounter it, NBP calls the notions of distribution and reception into question. The agreement allows something to come out of an encounter which involves bodies.<\/p>\n<p>The reading session will take place in Alh\u00f3ndigaBilbao\u2019s Bastida Hall. It is the last event in the programme of activities for EL CONTRATO, a collaborative project between Bulegoa z\/b and Alh\u00f3ndigaBilbao, and will be conducted by Jorge Laespada, a member of the EL CONTRATO reading group.<\/p>\n<p>More information: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alhondigabilbao.com\">www.alhondigabilbao.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ricardo Basbaum <\/strong>(S\u00e3o Paulo, 1961) is an artist and writer based in Rio de Janeiro. He investigates art as a platform and device for articulating sensory experience, sociability and language. Group exhibitions include: <em>A Singular form<\/em>, Secession, Vienna (2014); 30 Bienal de S\u00e3o Paulo, S\u00e3o Paulo (2012), <em>Garden of Learning<\/em>, Busan (2012), <em>Counter-Production<\/em>, Generali, Vienna (2012), documenta 12, Kassel (2007).
