BADco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joseph Beuys&#8217; <em>How to Explain Painting to a Dead Hare<\/em> performance (1965), paraphrased in the title of this work, gives the piece its conceptual structure. It is a speculative choreographic piece on some of the key ideas underlying the definition of contemporary dance. It also makes us wonder how the dance would be seen, rather than by the audience or interpreter, from the viewpoint of objects or things that witness, whose &#8216;natural&#8217; state displaces the body from the world of the living to the black box of the inert.<\/p>\n<p><em>Semi-interpretations or How to Explain Contemporary Dance to an Undead Hare<\/em> (2010) will take place in the Alh\u00f3ndigaBilbao Auditorium. The event is part of the programme of activities for EL CONTRATO, a collaborative project between Bulegoa z\/b and Alh\u00f3ndigaBilbao running between 2 October 2014 and 11 January 2015.<\/p>\n<p>More information: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alhondigabilbao.com\">www.alhondigabilbao.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>BADco<\/strong> (Zagreb, 2000) is a collaborative performance collective made up of Pravdan Devlahovi\u0107, Ivana Ivkovi\u0107, Ana Kreitmeyer, Tomislav Medak, Goran Sergej Prista\u0161, Nikolina Prista\u0161, Lovro Rumiha and Zrinka U\u017ebinec. Since its beginnings, the group has systematically investigated protocols for acting and reconfiguring the relationship between performance and the audience. BADco have presented nineteen performances and ten projects in the last twelve years.
