POST-STUDIO KRIT KLASS AT BULEGOA Z/B. ERLEA MANEROS ZABALA

Taking the “Post-Studio” course taught by Michael Asher at California Institute of the Arts from 1976-2008 as a model, this marathon crit sessions will take place on December 19, 20 and 21, 2018. The participants will present a finished artwork and engage in an exhaustive critique by the group. With this workshop we will try to encourage a culture for critically oriented art practice. We will discuss the work in as many angles as possible until it has been thoroughly unpacked and examined. 

Dates: December 19, 20 and 21 from 10:00 to 18:00.

Group: 9 artists.

Registration: send an email to bulegoa@bulegoa.org including a CV (200 words maximum) and a motivation letter presenting the artwork (300 words maximum). 

Deadline: December 14.

Erlea Maneros Zabala (Bilbao, 1977) is an artist. She studied at the Glasgow School of Art and California Institute of the Arts, she lives and works in Joshua Tree, California. Her work has been exhibited in institutions such as Museo National Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), Museo Experimental El Eco (Mexico City), REDCAT (Los Angeles), Guggenheim Bilbao Museum (Bilbao), CAPC Musée d’Art Contemporain (Bordeaux) and Bombas Gens Centre d’Art (Valencia) among others.
