Simultaneous screening: Funny Games (1997) and Funny Games U.S. (2007), Michael Haneke.

At a certain moment, the two criminals turn around at the same time, look into the camera and wink. Their gaze seems to perforate the surface of the screen, which nevertheless becomes impenetrable and liable to duplicate itself.

Irantzu Sanzo (Pamplona, 1985). Artist. Currently researching the possibility of repetition in Art in a PhD program with the UPV-EHU. In her work, she defines a kind of reflexive repetition which can be distinguished from the notion of similar, substitutable or general repetition, focusing more on characterising a repetition as a real, singular experience which engenders difference rather than similarity.
